IPC2U presents the Networking Appliance CAR 5000, which was optimized for the high-powered Intel Xeon Quad C5500 CPU series and the Intel Chipset 3420. Additionally to high power CPU the CAR-5000 provides high throughput by the integrated PCIe. The CAR 5000 consists of 2U chassis, dual sockets for Xeon processors with integrated PCIe 2.0 and memory controller. It comprises high speed Intel QuickPath technology between two processors, Intel Turbo-Boost, Virtualization and Hyper-Threading technology. Moreover the CAR 5000 possesses the Intel 3420 chipset with up to 32 PCIe x2 and 12 PCIe as well as 12 DDR3 DIMM up to 96GB.
High power and interface redundancy makes the CAR-5000 a perfect solution for high-powered network applications such as UTM, IPS, IDS, Antivirus, Firewall, VPN, Content Filtering etc.
