The SLP-SKG is a scalable and flexible industrial embedded system with an onboard CPU from the 6th or 7th generation Intel Core i3 / i5 / i7 series and a dual channel RAM up to 32 GB. The versatile selection of native interfaces such as Serial COM, GPIO or USB complements the automation platform with three extension slots for PCI Express and PCI.

Due to its flexible hardware, the industry embedded PC enables the use of different processors with a dual core or a quad core architecture and clock frequencies of up to 4.0 GHz. The memory used by the SLP-SKG system is a maximum of 32 GB DDR4 RAM with a 2133 MHz memory bus for fast data transfer. With a 2.5 "Drive Bay and SATA 3.0 connectivity, the fanless Embedded PC provides support for an internal SSD/HDD. The expansion ports consist of one slot for M.2 2230 Type A, one extension card in PCI Express x1 and two additional sockets for PCI 32 bit. External interfaces are accessible on all extensions via removable panels on the back with a screw backup.

The fanless embedded platform expands its scope with rich native I/O in industrial and commercial standards and protocols. This includes four USB 3.0 ports for digital and four serial COM ports in RS232 - optionally also equipped with two RS232 and RS232/422/485 interfaces. As usual for system-critical embedded platforms, this series also uses a Gigabit Dual LAN over Tx Base 100 RJ45 with a bandwidth of 10/100/1000 Mbps and full duplex for bidirectional communication. Integration into different IT structures including hierarchical, ring-shaped or redundant topologies is thus easily possible. The SLP-SKG can be used both as a headless M2M server and as an H2M Scada terminal, allowing for this purpose the control of two independent displays or touch screens with resolutions up to 3840 x 2160 pixels.

For operation under industrial environmental conditions, the fanless embedded system tolerates the operation in a wide temperature range between 0 ° Celsius and + 55 ° Celsius and with mechanical shocks with an acceleration up to 10 Grms. The creation of a homogenous IT infrastructure facilitates a complete compatibility with different 64 bit operating systems including Microsoft Windows 10 and Linux OS from a 4.4 kernel. Typical scenarios for using the SLP-SKG include automation as M2M or H2M interfaces including technical protocols or IoT applications for efficient process management in industry, technology, plant control or research.
