nROK-1020-A Transportation PC uses Intel Atom x5-E3930 dual core, up to 8GB DDR3L RAM, 2.5'' SATA SSD/HDD, 2xMini PCI Express The nROK-1020-A is designed for use as a transport embedded PC and especially combines a Fanless Rugged design with this computing performance of the latest generation Intel Atom CPU. A high number of serial interfaces together with a multiport and support for, for example, CAN bus as well as WWAN and GPS open up the nRok-1020 wide application possibilities. The nROK-1020-A achieves its high performance with low energy consumption the Intel Atom x5-E3930, which came to market at the end of 2016. The Dual Core CPU has one base clock of 1.30 GHz and boosts this in turbo boost mode if required up to 1.80 GHz but an extremely low power loss of only 6.5 Watts TDP. As a memory nROK-1020 using a low-energy DDR3L RAM, which can be extended from 4 GB to a maximum of 8 GB. In addition to an internal SATA SSD/HDD in 2.5'' as the primary drive, the nROK-1020-A allows additionally the installation of mSATA module via one of the two Expansion Slots in Mini PCI Express. In order to be able to realize a compact design without affecting the scope of the I/O, the nRok-1020 uses two DB-15 multiports instead of standardized outputs. Of these offers four serial ports in RS232 TX/RX and two other COM ports in RS485. The second provides several accesses, the nRok-1020 next to another Serial COM RS232 also CAN Bus, Hodometer and Gyrometer, as well as a programmable DIO with five signal paths for in- and output. In addition to operating as a Headless Embedded PC, the nROK-1020-A also supports the graphical output or the control via a touch screen and provides for this purpose VGA DB-15 as well as HDMI. The native I/O of the nROK-1020-A is supplemented by double USB 3.0, GPS with optional Dead Reckoning, an externally accessible slot for SIM cards and a secure M12 screw connection for Gigabit Ethernet LAN with 10/100/1000 Mbit/s bandwidth. The nRok-1020 complies with the military standards for harsh operating conditions MIL-STD-810F for fail-safe operation with permanent or recurring vibrations shocks up to 20g or a one-time impact of 50g. Next to a very wide temperature range is the mobile use of the nRok-1020 as a Vehicle PC or Transportation Embedded Computer supported by an Ignition Control. The nROK-1020-A is more mobile for providing IT infrastructure and allows the use for technical monitoring, automation, surveillance or digital signage.
