In the compact design of a 3.5'' Embedded PC, the F65EAC-IV32 provides a full IP65 rugged box computer with an Intel Core i7 processor for an excellent balance between performance and efficiency. The rugged and fanless rugged design provides a fully shielded IP65 protection and high input voltage tolerance.

The F65EAC-IV32 uses the Intel Core i7-3517UE processor optimized for embedded devices, which has a physical dual core with up to 2.80 GHz clock speed and four virtual threads. The memory consists of a replaceable DDR3 SO-DIMM module with 2 GB capacity, but can be expanded for data-intensive operations on up to 8 GB RAM. As disk drive a 32 GB mSATA SSD as well as optionally for larger memory requirements a micro SD card is used. Via an expansion slot for mini PCI Express or mini card, it is possible to customize the interfaces and adapt the hardware to different requirements.

As by compact embedded PCs, the F65EAC-IV32 provides a functional I/O via interfaces on the front and back panel. In the basic version, the front panel consists of two USB 2.0 ports, but allows optional access to a micro SD slot, SIM card socket, line in/out and CAN bus or GPIO with 8 bits. The rear panel contains two additional USB 2.0 ports and a serial RS232, which can be supplemented with another COM RS232 or RS422/485 if required. As graphics outputs the F65EAC-IV32 offers VGA as well as optional HDMI or DVI as a digital interface. The network connection is either wireless via a 3G WWAN or Wifi module in mini PCIe or wired via dual LAN with 10/100/1000 Mbit/s.

To achieve maximum tolerance to dust, moisture and harsh environments, both the F65EAC-IV32 Embedded PC itself and its ports are shielded against the environment according to the protection level IP65. For use in outdoor areas or at extreme temperatures, there is a version with a very wide operating range from -20° Celsius to + 60° Celsius. High tolerances of 1 Grms for vibrations up to 500 Hz and 15G for vibrations ensure high operational reliability under mechanical load. The F65EAC-IV32 is suitable for both stationary and mobile applications and handles automation tasks in M2M and H2M applications.
