Signal Conditioning Modules
Signals conditioners are devices that convert the primary monitoring devices input signals into unified signals of standard operating range.
Signal Conditioning Modules and normalizers represent the essential link between a great world of sensors, execution units and systems of data collection and control on the basis of computers and controllers. Being an integral part of the measuring channel they secure informational compatibility for all system.
Normalizers convert signals of direct and alternating current, current loop, thermocouples, resistive thermometers, tension sensors, resistors and potentiometers, etc. into the unified signals of standard range. For the analog signals this is usually either the ranges between 0…5 V, 0…10 V, 0…20 мА, 4…20 мА, or the current loop. For discrete signals these are TTL-level signals with a range between 0…5 V.
Functionality on signal conditioners
Except for the conversion the signal conditioning modules can additionally provide full galvanic isolation, filtration, buffering, signal enhancement or depression, linear approximation, open sensor detection.
Normalizers (Signal Conditioning Modules) consist of separate blocks that can be mounted:
- On a panel
- On DIN-rail
- On special bins
- Directly on a primary sensor accessories
In this section you can choose signal conditioners and normalizers that convert voltage signals into those of current or vice versa. Normalizers can not only convert a signal, but also galvanically isolate, enhance or depress primary signals, if necessary.
