Gateway MGate MB3170I-S-SC.1-port converter MGate MB3170I-S-SC by MOXA converts industrial protocols Modbus RTU/ASCII into Modbus TCP. The universal COM-port supports all serial standards: RS-232/422/485. The optical interface with a SC slot uses single-mode fiber with best distance values, throughput and interference immunity. For reliable and stable connection, there is an innovative technology of contactless galvanic isolation applied. Optical gateway MGate MB3170I-S-SC: description and features: Converter supports the following modes: Master Mode (up to 32 slave devices) and Slave Mode (up to 16 master devices). Conversion direction: Serial-to-Ethernet, Serial-to-Serial. A single-mode port ensures stable connection at the distance up to 40 km. Wave length: 1310 nm. Max TX: 0 dBm. Min TX: -5 dBm. RX-sensitivity: -34 dBm. Budget: 29 dB. Dispersion penalty: -3 dBm. COM-port rate: from 50 bit/s up to 921.6 Kbit/s. Ports: DB9M, terminal block. A single-mode port of the industrial gateway Modbus MGate MB3170I-S-SC removes all restrictions on network radius protecting from electromagnetic exposures. The command priority control eliminates unavoidable delays. This allows implementing MGate MB3170I-S-SC for automation of complex processes in mission critical systems such as those for oil and gas recovery and transportation (C1D2, ATEX Zone 2).
