Gigabit switch EDS-G512E-8PoE-4GSFP-T is a great solution for construction of highway networks on the basis of PoE devices. 8 out of 12 Gigabit ports correspond to 10/100/1000 Base TX standard and support Power-Over-Ethernet technology to supply power to the connected clients over a network cable. The other 4 ports refer to SFP Gigabit Ethernet type and transfer a signal at great distances over optic fiber. High technology solutions of E series set new standards on durability, reliability and industrial protection. PoE switch EDS-G512E-8PoE-4GSFP-T by MOXA: description and features: PoE+ technology provides each of 8 PoE ports with up to 36 W of power. There are built-in Smart PoE functions: auto detection of a device type and choosing of required power, failure diagnostics and client restart, scheduled power supply. The switch corresponds to IPv6 requirements, supports Ethernet/IP, Modbus TCP, Profinet industrial protocols, as well as secured management and remote monitoring functions (SNMP v3, RMON). There are integrated protocols on extended network security (TACACS+, 802.1X, HTTPS, SSH), redundancy (Turbo Ring), traffic and bandwidth optimization (IGMP, GMRP, QoS, LACP). Innovative technologies have contributed to the extended operating temperature range: from -40 to +75 °C. The redundant power circuit ensures uninterruptible operation. Input voltage: 46…57 V. Electromagnetic protection class has been upgraded up to level 4. The device is capable of withstanding strong static discharges (8 kV or 15 kV over the air), surges and high-frequency interference (up to 4 kV). The compact fanless metal chassis (79х135х137) protects the electronic components from solid particles ingress, shocks and vibrations (up to 5G). Mean time between failures (MTBF) exceeds 40 years. The major advantage of MOXA’s Ethernet switch EDS-G512E-8PoE-4GSFP-T are Gigabit PoE+ ports. They allow you to create an energy independent segment of a scalable highway network with maximum values of speed and throughput. The switch is capable of supplying power to power-hungry devices, such as highly-efficient access points, outdoor IP cameras with cleaning and heating.
