EAX-C246P-A1R Industrial ATX motherboard uses Intel Core i3/i5/i7, up to 64GB DDR4 RAM, 6xSATA, RAID, 6xPCIe, 8xUSB, 10xCOM, 2xLAN The EAX-C246P-A1R industrial ATX motherboard is compatible with the Intel Core i3 / i5 / i7, Celeron, Pentium and Xeon processors of the 8th generation "Coffee Lake", thus supporting flexible performance scaling from Dual Core to Hexa Core CPU. With a high number of interfaces including Serial COM, USB 3.1 and nine expansion slots, the motherboard can be optimized for different environments. Among the possible processors are powerful models such as the Intel Core i7-8700 with six cores and a maximum clock speed of 4.60 GHz in Turbo Boost Mode. The memory sits on four sockets for up to 64 GB DDR4 RAM and allows the use of ECC modules with integrated error detection and correction. The hardware RAID 0,1,5,10 can combine up to six storage media via SATA 3.0 without extensions to a redundant network with optimized transfer rate. Another feature of the EAX-C246P-A1R is a high number of extension slots for customized hardware and interfaces, two slots for PCI Express x16, one slot for PCIe x4 and three more for PCIe x1 and PCI 32-bit and dual M.2 Includes socket. As a native I/O, the industry ATX motherboard provides, among other things, eight serial COM ports in RS232 and two more in RS232/422/485. Eight USB interfaces in the standards 3.0 and 3.1 enable the connection of digital peripherals and external hardware such as input media including touchscreens, external storage media or additional interfaces. Direct signal control and sensor monitoring is provided by the ATX motherboard via an integrated, programmable 16-bit GPIO with 8 channels each for DI and DO. In combination with the numerous standards for expansion cards, the EAX-C246P-A1R allows extensive specialization in various applications and the integration of legacy extensions for exotic protocols or industrial systems such as Fieldbus. The connection to the local network or to IP devices in IoT applications is redundant or isolated over dual LAN with 10/100/1000 Mbit/s. For graphics output, for example as SCADA and H2M Terminal, the EAX-C246P-A1R supports Triple Independent View on three displays with cloned, extended or independent desktop and control via USB or serial touchscreens. Other multimedia support includes microphone and line input, external amplifier output and on-board audio amplifiers with a 6 watt speaker output. The power supply of the industrial mainboard is via an ATX power supply. The EAX-C246P-A1R is recommended for industrial use as M2M or H2M interface in the automation of conventional production systems and smart factories of Industry 4.0. Due to the high computing power it is suitable for computer-intensive processes such as graphic control or quality control, but also as a high-performance server in other industries such as IT service or research.
