How to extend the RS-232/422/485 line using OnCell?

To configure the transparent channel between routers, use TCP Server / TCP Client mode.

Serial ports are applied on both sides.

One of the OnCell devices must have a static IP address.

Settings for TCP Client:

The settings are located at Serial port settings – Port – Operation Modes.

In Destination address 1 field specify the static IP address of a router on the other side (the one playing the role of a TCP server).

Settings for TCP Server:

The Server must be a router that has a static IP address.

If the routers are located in the common network due to private APN service, then it makes no difference which router is set as an TCP Server and which one is a TCP Client.
