With this NViS model by your side, you'll soon discover that perhaps its most striking impressive feature is that fact that it operates completely silently. Most of its competitors still come with built-in fans, which can make it nearly impossible for its operators to sit alongside them hour after hour. The 3720 will spare you of any such discomfort, and will therefore deliver continuous, high-quality surveillance footage without the risk of blowing its cover. So quiet, efficient and compact is the NViS 3720, in fact, that it is compliant with MIL-STD-810G military standards, which are above and beyond the scope of most surveillance applications.
Just because it doesn't come with a built-in fan, it doesn't mean that you should expect this vehicle computer not to operate at certain temperatures. You'll be pleased to find that it will work splendidly at -30 and 60 degrees Celsius, which pretty much covers an imaginable spectrum of surveillance applications. Like most of its siblings from the NViS range, the 3720 model supports the most popular operating systems: Windows 7 and 8, as well as Linux Kernel 3.X. To top it off, it also supports two different video output formats, namely VGA and DP, for footage produced in a variety of I/O display configurations.
This digital security system is all there in terms of capability. Automotive-computer communications use a CAN BUS 2.0B interface, which means that data literally whizzes through in real time for instant transfers. When vehicle diagnostics are in order, the optional OBDII interface can be added to the system. But the 3720 isn't satisfied with offering you the best communication functionality; not unless it can round off the package with excellent connectivity options. It enables you to access WLAN, GPS, PAN and WWAN networks using a comprehensive set of 4 built-in antennas. With its dual SIM card support and WWAN module, the 3720 guarantees data transmissions that are continuous and backuped up for added security. As for data transfer speeds, bandwidth should be the least of your worries when three SIMs and two WWAN modules work uninterrupted under the 3720's metal chassis.
Of course, there's more to this excellent NViS model than the speed of its robust processor or the versatility of its sockets and antennas. It can facilitate verbal communication between operators thanks to its two-way voice feature via WWAN module. There is a total of three ways to start it up: by igniting your engine, by setting its RTC timer, or by remotely operating it via SMS. So, even when you need to keep a safe distance from your surveillance system, you can still make sure that it gives your continuous footage and that you can efficiently manage energy usage. Its built-in 4GB memory should be more than enough to give you hours of footage remotely, but you could always extend its memory to a maximum of 16GB, if need be. You can select one of its 8 power levels, set the desired level of boot-up voltage, or suspend it completely to guarantee that you do not lose a second of your valuable footage.
If reliability and resilience are the main qualities you're looking for in a surveillance system, this military grade gadget should tick all the right boxes. Its hard-wearing chassis and brilliant components make it ideal for most telematic applications, but also for infotainment operations. Use it to improve your fleet management or dispatching systems, and make full use of its 4 Mini-PCle sockets to ensure nearly univeral compatibility with your existing technology.
As it has been FCC, CE Class B and E13 Mark approved and certified, this vehicle computer will give you the added peace of mind you need to carry out your surveillance operations seamlessly.
