IPC2U announces: NEX 980 – industry Q77 in ATX size!

IPC2U presents with the NEX 980 a further modern ATX motherboard for deployment in demanding industrial or digital signage applications.
The board can be equipped with the Intel Core CPUs of the 2. or 3. generation. To meet high computing requirements the NEX 980 is outfitted with four 240 pin DIMM sockets (in dual channel configuration) and is able to take up to impressive 32GB 1066/1333/1600/2133MHz DDR3. Based on the Intel Q77 PCH the NEX 980 provides a lot of interfaces and extension slots. So, there are 2x Intel Gbit LAN connectors, one among them with AMT 8.0 support. 4x USB 3.0 (2 of them internal), 8x USB 2.0 (2 of them internal), 2x RS232/422/485, 4x internal RS232 and 4x GPI/4x GPO onboard.
Connection of mass storage devices proceeds over 2x SATA 3.0 and 2x SATA 2.0 ports. The Intel Matrix Storage Controller supports the modesRAID 0, 1 and 10 modus.
For system extension there are 1x PCIe x16 Gen 3.0, 1x PCIe x4, 1x PCIe x1 as well as 4x PCI extension slots.
Very important for deployment in process visualization or digital signage applications is the possibility to connect up to 3 independent displays via 1x HDMI, 1x Display Port and 1x VGA interfaces.
Furthermore, the NEX board offers an opportunity to install different LEDs by a 9 pin connector and thus to increase system reliability and usability.

The motherboard supports AT/ATX mode and allows manual and remote controlled switch on and switch off the board via voltage alternating as well. The board is designed for temperatures between 0°C and 60°C. 1x 4 pin coolerwith PWM for the CPU and 1x 3 pin cooler for chassis ventilation ensure an efficient cooling of the system.
The board can be built-in in 1U, 2U or 4U as well as in desktop towers. Thanks to its especially powerful and future-oriented specifications it is well-suitable for the usage in different industrial as well as in digital signage applications.
