IPC2U announces: KINO-PVN - Mini-ITX Board mit Intel Atom D525!

IPC2U presents with the Mini-ITX KINO-PVN a favorable and at the same time comparatively powerful Entry-Level Single Board Computer. The board supports the Intel Atom D525 Dual Core 1.8GHz CPU as well as the Intel Atom D425 1.66GHz CPU. The Intel Atom D525 CPU has 130% much more computing power as the Intel Atom N270 CPU, which was up to now popular in the market for energy efficient solutions. Users, which have used the Celeron M CPU and Intel 852GM chipset, can take the Intel Atom D425 1.66GHz CPU with Intel GMA3150 GPU. It exceeds for example the Celeron M 1GHz CPU by more than 50%. Beside this considerable computing performance the KINO-PVN board supports up to 4GB DDR3 RAM. Thus energy saving potential of 30% can be realized compared to DDR2 as well as the bandwidth of 2.133MT/s what means performance increase of 10%. 
Also UEFI plays an important role. This trend-setting successor of BIOS shortens start or boot process of PC – one needs less than 10s. Moreover, the hard disc up to 2.2TB can be supported. Of course, the board has a lot of interfaces, which allows flexible utilization in a wide range of areas, among them in industry. These interfaces are: 2x Gbit LAN, 1x LPT, 1x KB/MS, 2x SATA 3Gb/s, 8x USB 2.0, 3x RS-232 as well as 1x RS-232/422/485 with Auto Flow control. For testing applications there are 4x DI and 4x DO available. As KINO-PVN boards are equipped with 1x PCI and 1x PCIe x1 slot, they can be upgraded with Add-In Cards and thus with additional functions.

Apart from the usage in automation, process control, test applications and trading (e. g. retail/ POS) the board is well-suitable for Digital Signage and process visualization. Especially KINO-PVN-D4251/D5251 shows outstanding features. It is equipped with NVIDIA Geforce GT218-ION GPU that is according to renowned benchmarking eMark 2006 15-fold more powerful than Intel GMA3150 GPU. Therefore it is possible to play back demanding HD videos with low CPU load. Versatile graphic interfaces such as DVL-DL, VGA and HDMI ensure optimal connection to external devices.

KINO-PVN-D4252/D5252 has whereas 2x Dual Channel LVDS (1x 18 bit and 1x 24bit) for proper connection of displays (e. g. at POS terminal).
