IPC2U announces: ICES 268 - COM Express Type 2 Basic Module

IPC2U comes up with the ICES 268, a COM Express Type 2 Basic Module that is designed to allow systems to be updated in line with the emerging technologies. This COM Express Type 2 Module is available in a dimension of 125 mm in length and 95 mm in width. Based on the 3rd generation Intel Core processors, the module supports up to 45-Watt quad-core Intel i7-3610QE Processor and this too, integrated with the Intel HD Graphics 4000. The ICES 268 is capable of supporting up to a maximum of 16GB of DDR3 1600 memory.

Flexible design modification

The ICES 268 supports legacy IDE and PCI. This particular COM module is incorporated with technologies that allow it to upgrade legacy systems to support PClex16 interface. The COM Module, therefore, facilitates easier and more flexible design modification and expansion on the matching carrier board.

Multiple Displays of the ICES 268

The COM Express Type 2 Module comes with multiple displays. The ICES 268 supports the optional digital display interface (DDI) in place of the VGA and the dual/channel LVDS interfaces. The DDI is compatible with HDMI, DVI and DisplayPort signals, making the module suitable for system upgrade while working with the peripheral devices. Both the legacy and prevailing interfaces are made use of to prolong the use of the system.

COM module – useful dor project implementation

The ICES 268 also offers Intel QM77 Express Chipset combined Intel vPro technology. By option, a variant with Intel HM76 Express Chipset is also made available.
Apart from its use in quick design modification, the COM module is helpful for project implementation. IPC2U comes up with the offer of the additional ICES 268-T2 Starter Kit to enable users assess the full set of I/O functions facilitated by the Type 2 carrier board ICEB8050C. This development toolkit immensely helps in a fast deployment of individual project designs.
