The HYPER-KBN is a PICO-ITX Motherboard with excellent performance, which is well-suitable for control tasks in miniaturized environments. It consists of a System-on-Chip (SoC), building in combination with RAM and controllers a compact and full equipped system on the smallest space. Thus developers should not miss serial or USB ports.

A PICO-ITX Motherboard with AMD Quadcore CPU

The HYPER-KBN can be equipped with aktive or passive cooling. Combined with a cooler either AMD Quadcore GX-415GA 1.5GHz CPU or AMD Quadcore GX-420-CA 2.0GHz CPU. In a fanless version it can be chosen between GX-210HA 1.0GHz and GX-217GA 1.65GHz CPUs with 2 cores respectively. The RAM is situated in a single DDR3 DIMM slot with maximal memory volume of 8GB. An intergrated Radeon graphic unit with 300MHz – 600MHz frequenz allows output up to 2048 x 1536 pixels, which is supported by DirectX 11.1, OpenGL 4.1 and OpenCL 1.2. An additional hardware decoder for current standards such as H264 and MPEG 2/4 releases the CPU when decoding of high-resolution video.

The HYPER-KBN has versatile features

On the PICO-ITX Motherboard there are 1x Gbit LAN, 2x USB 2.0 and DVI-I on the rear side. Onboard there are additional connections over RS232, Audio as well as 2x USB 2.0 via Header. Drive Bays can be integrated over SATA 3.0. An additional display can be connected over LVDS. Furthermore, the PICO-ITX Motherboard HYPER-KBN has sensors for temperature and monitoring of cooler status and speed. In the case of critical malfunctions automatic reboot can be started by programmable watchdog timer. Low power consumption at 12V allows mobile deployment. Thus the PICO-ITX Motherboard HYPER-KBN can be used as reliable solution for example in roboters with autonomous control as well as in transportation embedded systems. Fixed usage would be in industrial environment office, digital signage and medical applications.
