High-performance board PICO51R for IoT solutions from Axiomtek

Axiomtek, one of the industrial automation innovators, has launched new series of embedded compact boards of Pico-ITX – PICO51R format.

The major difference of this series is the processor attached on the rear side of the board, which is marked with the letter “R” in its name. This solution allows removing maximum heat from a processor.

PICO51R series is designed based on Intel 7-gen processor of Intel Core and Celeron series.

The boards with the following processor models are available for order:

  • Intel Core i7-7600U with base clock frequency of 2.8GHz
  • Intel Core i5-7300U with base clock frequency of 2.6GHz
  • Intel Core i3-7100U with base clock frequency of 2.4GHz
  • Intel Celeron 3965U with base clock frequency of 2.2GHz

All models of this series support up to 16 GB of DDR4 system memory of SODIMM format that is installed in one 260-pin slot.

PICO51R series uses a wide range of input/output interfaces, including two USB 3.0 ports, two USB 2.0 ports, two Gigabit Ethernet ports with Intel Ethernet I219-LM and I211-AT controller, two RS-232/422/485 ports, one I2C port and 4-bit DIO port.

There is a M.2 E key slot for installation of wireless connection modules.

This series is capable of operation with two independent displays through DisplayPort interfaces and dual-channel LVDS.

To enhance reliability, the board basic configurations are provided with M.2 key B slot for connection of a data storage device. Upon the client request, the slot can be substituted with a standard SATA-600 slot with added ability of Audio ports connection.

This series can operate under the ambient temperature ranged from -20 up to +60oC.

The models without a cooling system for the individual housing design are available for order. The boards with an active cooling system using a radiator+ ventilator are also available for order. Optionally, there is a cooling plate available for a fanless system design.
