The PCS-8311P uses the powerful Intel 5th Gen Core i5-5650U with 2.2GHz (up to 3.1GHz) or Intel Core i3-5010U with 2.1GHz frequency. The device has a rugged aluminum housing and serves as the radiator of the cooling system. Supports installation of up to 16 GB DDR3L memory, one or two SODIMM 204-pin modules. The PCS-8311P is equipped with 4 Ethernet ports supporting PoE IEEE802.3af power (maximum power consumption up to 15.4 watts). Connections to Ethernet are made by industrial dust and moisture-protected M12 connectors.
The front panel has two USB 2.0 and two USB 3.0 ports. There are three serial ports: two RS-232/485 and one RS-232. Also, the computer is equipped with a discrete interface DIO (4/4) and a CAN bus 2.0B(optional).
The aluminum case and high-performance steel chassis provide a strong and solid construction for good system protection. To increase stability and durability, this compact system is fanless and can be operated under extended temperature conditions of -40oC to 70oC.
PCS-8311P is the ideal solution for applications such as in-vehicle infotainment, digital signage as well as mobile communication and navigation for commercial and municipal vehicles, such as buses, trucks, taxis, police cars and other fleet vehicles. It is also a perfect solution for in-bus and on-the-train surveillance systems, and fleet dispatch and remote management.
