The EBC 355 series is a powerful 3.5 inch mainboard that is based on the multi-core SoC Intel Atom processor E3800 product family (formerly "Bay Trail"). One of the most important features of the EBC 355 3.5n inch mainboard will operate at a very wide temperature range with low power consumption, despite being fanless. The EBC 355features USB3 ports and an Intel Gen 7 Graphics chip that offers multi-display support and fast data transfer rates. Main features of the EBC 355 3.5" inch mainboard

NEXCOM's EBC 355 3.5 inch mainboard is intended for use with embedded applications, and supports memory of up to 8GB DDR3L SDRAM. It also has four USB3 ports and VGA, HDMI and LVDS display outputs making it flexible enough to work with any different peripherals and those with dual displays. The 3.5" boards provide reliable operation within a wide operating temperature range of -20 to 60 degrees Celsius. The EBC 355 3.5 inch mainboard is ideal for battery powered portable devices, multimedia HMI panels, outdoor displays in extreme environments, thin clients and home automation systems. The mainboard is also fanless so it operates extremely quietly.

Applications for the EBC 355

The EBC 355 3.5 inch mainboard utilises USB 3.0 for the faster collection of patient data, this is ideal for portable health monitoring systems. The 3D and video hardware acceleration capability means that it can provide faster image processing, which is very useful for handheld ultrasound machines.
