Durabook, one of the recognized manufacturers of rudded solutions, announced the next update to their line of rugged tablet PCs. This time, the rugged tablet Durabook U11I-G2 got updated. With the new G3 version, the rugged Durabook tablet has not undergone significant external changes, except for the ability to install a Windows Hello camera instead of the standard front camera. The main changes affected the internal components and the protection rate of the tablet PC.
The tablet received a new 12th generation Intel Core i5-1230U CPU with support for the Intel vPro Essentials platform and integrated Intel Iris Xe Graphics. Compared to the previous version, performance has increased by 225%.
The use of a newer processor made it possible to increase the supported RAM to 32 GB, versus 16 GB in the G2 version.
The protection rate has been improved. The updated version is IP66 protected from moisture and dust and can withstand falls from a height of up to 1.8 meters.
Communication capabilities have also been significantly updated. The Durabook U11I-G3 now has support for Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth version 5.3 and Thunderbolt 4. In addition, according to the developer company, the updated model will receive support for 5G networks.
