Benefits of the iROBO-6108GC include a universal, flexible and scalable design with support for high-performance Intel Core i3/i5/i7 and Xeon Series 6-generation Skylake processors. In addition to numerous interfaces for the peripherals including Serial COM and USB 3.0, the Box Embedded PC supports redundant data storage via RAID systems with up to four internal storage media.

With its Intel LGA1151 socket, the iROBO-6108GC supports numerous processors such as the Intel Core i7-6700 Quad Core with a clock speed of 4.00 GHz in Turbo Boost Mode. The option for a dedicated graphics card via PCI Express x16 opens up the possibility of using high-performance and customized H2M systems with CPUs without integrated GPUs from the Intel Xeon series, for example. The main memory includes a DDR44 RAM with 2144 MHz bus and a capacity up to 32 GB with accelerated, parallel access via dual channel. To store data, the Fanless Box PC has four drive bays in 2.5 '', which can be used individually or as a composite in a SATA hardware RAID 0,1,5,10. As extensions, the iROBO-6108GC offers PCIe 16x as well as two Expansion Slots in PCI Express x8, Full Size Mini Card, M.2 Socket and another slot for Neousys MezIO modules.

The focus of the iROBO-6108GC is on a versatile, native set of interfaces that can be individually extended by industrial ports such as FieldBus or CAN Bus and even exotic interfaces. On the front side, direct connections for the extension slots can be offered via screens to achieve a simple, clear and targeted cable routing. The I/O in the basic configuration of the fanless box embedded computer includes ports such as four-port USB 3.0 and two serial COM ports RS232/422/485, which, for example, also enable communication with microcontrollers. Networking is distributed across subnets or redundantly over 10/100/1000 Mbps RJ-45 dual LAN and physically separated controllers for maximum stability and resilience. As is common in an embedded computer, the iROBO-6108GC uses a fanless and rugged design with a flexible input voltage between 8 VDC and 35 VDC. Operation under extreme temperatures is supported by the Box PC through a very wide spectrum, which ranges from -25 ° Celsius up to + 60 ° Celsius. The combination of high computing power, redundant network connectivity and RAID data storage, as well as maintenance-free operation without active cooling make the iROBO-6108GC interesting for system-critical applications. These include, for example, facilities for water and energy supply as well as just-in-time production in Industry 4.0 or the automation of infrastructures in plant construction or buildings. A particular advantage is the integration of a powerful GPU - this allows both the use as a headless server with extremely responsive applications such as the construction of an automation and IoT uplink server with additional H2M output on multiple displays or touch screens.
